Sun Life pays P4 Billion in claims, maturities in 2018

Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. (SLOCPI) kept its commitment to clients in 2018, as it paid a total of PHP 4 billion in claims and maturities.

The said amount comprises of individual death and living benefit claims, group benefits, and maturities in life insurance and pre-need.

“We aim to be our clients’ lifetime partner in their financial journey, and there is no better testament to this than the payment of claims and maturities,” SLOCPI President and Chief Agency Distribution Officer Alex Narciso said. “It signifies our commitment to our obligations and to making lives brighter for our clients and their loved ones.”

Moreover, Sun Life also strives to ensure convenience in its claims process by offering a quick turnaround time. In fact, the company can pay incontestable claims following certain criteria up to PHP 5 million within three hours, which is one of the fastest turnaround time in the life insurance industry.

Sun Life aims to reach out to even more Filipinos and help them experience the benefits of insurance. “From growing our agency force which is now at 14,000 nationwide, to opening more client centers, to launching more digital tools, we shall exert every effort needed to serve more Filipinos in their financial journey,” Narciso said.
