Trail Mix

Whether you're hitting the trails or simply need a quick pick-me-up during a busy day, this trail mix recipe offers a delicious and nutritious alternative to bags of fried carbs.

One of the easiest healthy snacks to prepare is trail mix. It’s versatile because you can vary the ingredients depending on your favorite nuts and switch up the flavors from sweet to savory. It’s convenient because it handles well and it’s portable, perfect for people constantly on the go. And, last but not the least, it’s packed with protein to keep you satisfied until the next meal.

 

Ingredients:

½ cup cashews, unsalted

½ cup peanuts, unsalted

¼ cup almonds

½ cup raisins

½ cup granola

¼ cup sunflower seeds

¼ cup cacao nibs

 

Procedure:

Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Store in a jar or airtight container.   This will keep for several weeks.
