Macroeconomy

• The US military has carried out multiple attacks across Iran, aimed at "degrading" Tehran's ability to disrupt commercial vessels. Iran's Hormozgan province's governorate says no civilian casualties have been reported so far after the latest US strikes.
• The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) could extend its tightening cycle as the widening pass-through effects of energy shocks stemming from the Middle East war are expected to keep core inflation elevated, analysts said.

Fixed Income

• Peso government bond yields were lower by 4-8 bps. No particular catalyst was behind the move with dip buying interest centered around the 5Y tenor bucket after the sharp selloff the in previous sessions.
• US treasury yields were higher on the day, led by 2-5Y maturities, as rate hike expectations rose on the back of rising US-Iran tensions. Yields were higher by 2 bps.

• Global equities rose 0.40% as optimism around semiconductors and Al-driven technology demand helped offset ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
• The PSEi rebounded 1.01% in Friday to close at 6,286 pts as bargain hunting from the previous day's correction supported investor sentiment turning to a more positive outlook.
