Piolo Pascual Beyond the Limelight

Many wonder how a big star like Piolo Pascual acts behind the camera. The recently-launched SunPIOLOgy Calendar revealed that the ultimate heartthrob chooses to immortalize panoramic views then use the images for a good cause.

Produced in partnership between Sun Life Financial Philippines, SunPIOLOgy calendar and its corresponding exhibit will benefit the scholars of Piolo’s very own Hebreo foundation.“This project with Sun Life will not only send poor but deserving Filipinos to school but also serve as a venue for the kind-hearted to advocate the worthy cause of education,” said the multi-talented celebrity who is exposing his photographic skills for the first time.

During the opening rites of the benefit exhibit, initial proceeds amounting to Php 100,000 were turned over by Sun Life–Philippines President & CEO Riza Mantaring and Chief Strategic Marketing Officer Greg Martin.

Also launched was “SunPiology in Auction” where winning bidders can take home an autographed photo on framed canvass. Two images were already sold during the live bidding, but other Piolo masterpieces are still up for bidding online at until his birthday on January 12, 2010.

“Sun Life has always pushed the envelope of creativity, as shown by our annual calendar creations. And SunPIOLOgy 2010 is a testament to our culture of excellence and compassion,” said SLFP president and chief executive officer Riza Mantaring during the exhibit opening.

SunPIOLOgy 2010 is available in Fully Booked branches nationwide His benefit exhibit at the Art Hall of the Enterprise Center has been extended up to December 23 due to public demand.

Jacaranda NBM Gloria Kaw was first to win the live bidding for the July photo entitled 'Standing Steel' while another top buyer, Colleen Manabat won the bid for Piolo's favorite photo, 'When Autumn Falls' at Php 37,000.
