Insurance for the recipient. Covering is for loss of
life and dismemberment due to accidental causes. There
are two designs available: ALL-OCCASION GREETING CARD

These are Special Edition Hallmark Cards that give
free personal accident coverage for one (1) year, worth
Ps 25,000. There are three available types to choose
from, namely, All-Occasion, Birthday and Christmas Cards.
These may be availed in any National Bookstore outlet.
Eligibility
Persons eligible for coverage are those who are at least
5 years old up to age 64. People engaged in hazardous
occupations are not eligible. Please refer to the EXCLUSIONS
stated below for these occupations and also find out
the other excluded risks.
Exclusions
This insurance shall not cover:
- Persons belonging to the following occupations:
aviators, construction workers, detectives, divers,
professional drivers, explosives makers, firemen,
loggers, miners, military men, policemen, para-military
personnel, sailors, secret service personnel, security
guards and underground workers.
- Death or Dismemberment or any loss caused directly
or indirectly, wholly or partially by:
- bodily or mental infirmity or disease of any kind,
hernia, ptomaines, bacterial or viral infection
other than infection occurring simultaneously with
and in consequence of an accidental cut or wound;
- suicide or attempted suicide while sane or insane,
or self-inflicted injuries;
- committing or attempting to commit any crime,
felony, or other illegal act;
- homicide;
- pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage or any complications
thereof;
- poison, carbon monoxide or drug overdose;
- war (declared or undeclared), insurrection, riots,
rebellion, civil commotion or hostile action of
armed forces;
- earthquake, volcanic eruption or tidal wave;
- atomic explosion, nuclear fission, or radioactive
gas;
- entering, operating or servicing, ascending or
descending from or with any aerial or submarine
device or conveyance except while the Member is
riding as a passenger in an aircraft operated by
a commercial passenger airline or a scheduled air
service over an established route;
- while engaging in hunting, motor cycling or pillion
riding, mountaineering which necessitates the use
of ropes or piton, racing of any kind other than
on foot; hang gliding, ice or winter sports, water
ski-jumping and tricks, yachting beyond five kilometers
of a coastline, underwater activities involving
the use of underwater apparatus or using woodworking
machinery driven by mechanical power other than
portable tools applied by hand and used solely for
private purposes without reward.
How to Effect the Coverage
Recipient must fill up the RETURN CARD and mail it to
Sun Life (either through regular postal system or through
the agent who can send it back to Group Insurance using
the internal mail system). Effective date of coverage
will be the date Sun Life's Group Insurance Department
receives the return card.
Expiry Date
Coverage automatically expires after one year from effective
date. There is no grace period.
Maximum Coverage
Coverage is limited to an aggregate total of Ps. 100,000
per person (two cards). Should a person receive more
that two cards, they can designate any member of their
family who is eligible for coverage, as the insured.
Note: If the recipient is not eligible for coverage,
they can nominate other eligible members of their family
as insured.
